Main beam light stork wont stay clicked

Hi All

problem on my 1999 w reg s40 - the main beam lights wont click to stay on ( the lights themselves do work as you can flash ) just that the light stork suddenly wont click into position to stay on

- MOT due any time now and I presume that would mean a fail , anyone else had this problem ? - am I missing something blindingly obvious ?

any answers really gratefully received - especially if it will save me goung back to a ruddy garage again !

Same problem here

mine has a 12 month MOT on it, I think the MOT is dodgy theres no way it would of passed. I know i've only had the car nearly a week but i've seen loads of stuff wrong. not happy

Are your light set to off (always on) ?

If the dial isnt set to dipped the main beam wont stay on

If you've got DRL's on and forget to turn lights to "on" position after dark then main beam will flash but not stay locked on. Just remember to turn lights to on position for the main beam to function correctly.
