I have found loads of places doing lowering springs but bugger all lifting springs.........anyone here found any? or is there any for another vehicle which happen to fit???? Suspension is a weak point of mine, other than changing shocks I have no idea how springs are rated and sized.
Van tyres on a car? , as the car is much lighter the grip, (which is generated by 1, a release of rubber molecules to the road surface as the tyre rolls and 2, the weight on the tyre) will be dangerously low in the rain.
Your owners handbook will give you the speed rating and load index for the tyre reccomended on your car, you are allowed "special application" q or t rating but only for winter.

A mate got disqualified for having 4 non e marked mud and snow rally tyres on his Subaru Impreza Estate 6 weeks ago (4 x 3 points)
He was arsing around in the tesco car park doing doghnuts in the snow and the traffic cops turned up.
It was totally empty as it was under 8 inches of the stuff, but the security guard shopped him.
It is public road where some of the skid marks were so that was it.
Its going to cost him thousands in rail and bus fares, extra insurance premiums and possibly his job if they find out.
All because he thought it was clever to ignore a minor letter on a tyre carcas.

And you have posted your intention to do this modification on an public forum ,that said, if you have a fatal accident , and the tyre is proved to be a factor in the crash, and the police, who do have clever search programmes to find out these sort of things, will charge you with willfull manslaughter , and you could get 5 to 10 years to think about what i have just told you.

Hi,
Thanks for the dressing down, but I don't actually intend to fit them for road use.....hence my idea for uprating my springs and shocks. I find my 740 a hoot off road on grass track.....then change wheels, a wash and polish and she is as clean as any other road car and ready for the daily commute.

I am looking for a good large off road tyre......thats all.
