240 Torslanda Estate Headlights & Haynes manual

I am seeking both front headlamps for a 240 Torslanda Estate 1993 and also Haynes manual for the same model.

GLT headlights will also be ok ... as they also have the BLACK tops .

masses of haynes on ebay, also a few headlights, the black/chrome part on the top of the headlights can be unscrewed and put on replacement lamps.

why do you need headlights?? if its because they are rusty then its cheaper to buy replacement lenses there are a few suppliers and they are arount the £25 mark each.

Thank you for your posts. It is the reflectors that have corroded beyond MOT stage. I have had quotes for new reflectors but they came in at about £125 from Volvo. I am in contact with someone who is breaking a 240 so fingers crossed.

Off to ebay.

Scoobysnax, on my 240's DRL's with faded reflectors I repaired mine using aluminium reflective tape. Once done 'brightness' is restored to normal.

I recently posted this on a thread about headlamps & the OP (sorry I cannot remember who) gave it a go on his headlamps. Result was that 'perfect beam' was restored.

A cheap fix I reckon. My concern with headlamps is how long a repair the tape will make due to the heat? But maybe worth a go. I'm certainly going to give it a go, as my 'new' Volvo OE replacement lamps gave me an advisory at MOT time after 4 years!!!
