Default 740 abs hub and ring

Trying to sort out why my 740 GLT has the abs light permanently lit.

Haven't had the car for that long..6-7 months, but today I found that the drivers side hub is fitted with a standard i.e. non abs hub by the last darling who owned the car.

I am now on the lookout for a ringed i.e. ABS hub for a 740 and / or 940 - I believe they are the same..?

If anyone has one stashed away somewhere I'd be glad to hear from you..?!

If there'sany difference, it's for the drivers side.

Thanks all

1987 model year 700 series has the early style hub with 96 count tone ring. 1988 model year 700 series has late style hub with 96 count tone ring. 1989+ 700/900 interchange, and have the 48 count tone ring.

I'll bet you have a late 1987 700 series. No difference left to right for any year.

Default Abs info

Mine is a may1990 car..I don't believe very many UK reg 700 cars had abs in this country, - my old 89' 740 didn't so that's why I was surprised to find ABS on this one.
I believe that may be your information is specific to North American spec cars only??
But thanks anyway,I will take into account what you've said when trying to locate parts.
Regards

Didn't fully read your info before replying - apologies

I'm sure you're right regards 89 onwards cars being interchangeable with the 900 series. Thanks again
