At least you know someone who has some common sense. What level of tune was your Subaru and why did you have to be advised to fit the AFR, was you unable to make this decision by yourself or was it simply your lack of knowledge on the matter?

.....the wide band is the way to go, because there is one out there
which screws directly into the downpipe where the O2 sensor goes and the O2sensor then connects to it... ...if you go the narrow band way you will have to drill and tap separately a hole for it to screw in but you have to find where on the manifold where it is thickest to support the length of screw otherwise you will have to remove the exhaust to weld a mounting and drill and tap to fit it!!... ...so why go narrow band??...

Most wide band, have there own o2 censer and by this you will get a more accurate reading. The cheaper narrow bands have to be spliced into the cars o2 censer. As for the o2 location, it is recommended "on turbo cars" that the censer is located on the downpipe and a minimum of 6" away from the turbo exhaust housing. Most kits come with a weld on bug for this purpose.. |

"Lack of knowledge"? Bit rich coming from the Volvo tuning god with your track record of engine "problems", is it not? For what it's worth, a dynojet2 was on the car, as was a new GEMS ECU and mapping, which if you check is all that Andy Forrest does, was left to him, and with superb results. My reply read "Set up on recommendation of Andy Forrest", not "fitted to car on recommendation of Andy Forrest". You know nothing of the car, nor it's tune, so why persist on this, other than to sh!t stir yet again. Life really that boring on t5d5? |

Thank you for thinking I'm a "Volvo tuning god" I really am humbled by you think of me in that way.Tell me did you manage to get your boost gauge fitted OK in the end?LOL didn't you have to get advice on even this simplest of mods... Quote:
As for sh1te stirring LOL you make me laugh.I am still trying to ascertain you knowledge as it would seem your only capable of paying for work to be carried out on your cars. You still haven't managed to answer my question on how quickly a failing BCS becomes a failed BCS, which TBH is probably beyond your knowledge again....
