Fuel filler

Well... Not a good day.

Went to put some diesel in the car, £40 should hopefully see me through the week, I'd put more in but I can't afford it.

Result... Diesel all over the forecourt, about a fiver went into the tank!

I crawled home, after putting a load of sand down in the petrol station, jacked up the car and found that there was a load of pretty much dissolved gaffer tape around the filler hose.

So, it's been bodged up before, presumably the hose is split.
I can't really tell though as there's so much sticky gloop from the tape all over it.

Only had the car for a couple of weeks, and filled up no problem until now.

I swear, I have the worst luck with cars!!

Don't suppose anyone's got a filler hose (the one where it enters the tank) for a 940 diesel lying around have they??

I was quite pleased with the car, but now I'm beginning to wonder what I've bought

Hi,

Try Rufe here on these forums for an OEM part (availability and price).

Try also either Braydons or Salvo as they break Volvos and both do delivery.

I suspect, but can't be certain, that the part will be similar for both petrol and diesel.

Money's pretty tight at the moment and can't really afford OE prices!
