Default brilliant

Mine were like a glow-worm farting in the wind. I bought two extreme brilliance bulbs from Halfords and had them on for 12 months without issue. Now I can actually see where I am going. Job done

Yes Definately don't go to Halfrauds, where some pimply knave will try sell you something you can buy much cheaper on Ebay, go for Osram Nightbreakers at
@ £14 per pair, I use them and they are superb, and easy to change

I second that, they really are refreshingly good.
Anyone seen a good price on the H3 version?

Osram Night Breakers are a good choice but don't go paying a fortune for them £20 for a pair is about the top price I would pay - Mike
Hids wont fry your wiring, 100w bulbs do, If you get the subtle colour like the 5000k and are on good terms with your mot test center, they dont give problems, nor do you get stopped, or bothered, and it does make night driving a real pleasure!
In the meantime before making the £90 odd bite to get HIDs, I would just get the Ring/philips/hellfrauds 50% extra light, but not the 100w bulbs,
This is ideal :

Dont worry about all the wiring upgrade bullsh*t, your wirings good for its purpose, Thats all you need to know.
Oh,If you can get a TRADE card, theyre worth it,
Standard bulbs are 99p. Their own brand brilliance bulbs are knocked down majorly.
