Default Diesel Additives

i have been adding Millers Diesel Power Ecomax to my my05 XC90 (163 bhp) and the cars runs really nicely and is very responsive to the throttle. I am shortly changing to a brand new MY11 185 bhp model with DPF.

Do any owners have any experience using an additive with the DPF. Will it affect the warranty?

Ive added some of the ecomax stuff to my my10 xc90 a few times. Not seen any problems. Or difference. I run it in my bm 530 d and do notice a difference there.

When your MY05 163 bhp is running so nicely why are you changing to a MY11 185 bhp burdened with a DPF? How many miles on your 05? Are you selling it or trading it in?

The car is ear marked for a trade in. keep asking myself why I,m changing, but I guess boys and their toys applies.

It,s been a really nice car. Had originally considered changing to the new Toyota landcruiser but the xc 90 cant be beaten on price and room in the rear for three kids.

The posts regarding DPF's and associated problems seem to have tailed off, have the initial problems been resolved or is it an ongoing problem?
