Unhappy Smokey Joe

Hi

I'm having issues!

I bought a V70 T5 manual, 1998, black, goes like a rocket but leaves a trail of smoke like one too.

I noticed, after approx 2000 miles, that the car was dropping oil allover the street, and upon inspection found that the belly pan was full of oil absorbant granuals which had now reached saturation.

Long story short, got some money back and have tried to cure problem.

Have just replaced turbo, as thought oil seal had gone as the intercooler was getting somewhat oily and had been drilled to allow oil to pass into belly pan.

Love the car and it runs lovely.

Took 100mile drive without any plooms of smoke, so was happy as larry but now, after start up, loads smoke again.

Blocked breathers or shot lump?

Please help, don't wanna bin it.

if the breather is blocked it will fill up with heat and try and make an exit which will move than likely come out of the dipstick and dribble down the dipstick. if the dip stick pipe is oily you have a block age

Dip stick tube pretty clean.

When idling and warm, no reall oil spray or smoke from either dip stick yube or oil filler cap, slight mist but nothing too bad.

Am wondering if the oil build up in intercooler and ehaust may be the cause of smoke and may take some time to clear?

I wondered whether the intercooler was clogged with miles of turbo boost oil.

Have replaced turbo (2nd hand but from good source) and now have an intercooler to change.

Is it a tough job to do on the street?

Am i right in guessing IC snadwiched between AC and Rad?

Cheers
