g80 locker mod

ive decided to do the locker on my 940 because im fed up of not being able to launch the car off the light and drag racing is a nightmare with the axle letting go at 25mph and the car going sideways lol.so i set about doing the locker mod and what an arse of a job.it took me 1hr 30 mins to strip all the rear brakes off pull the shafts witch didnot want to come out without some pershation lol.drained the oil first of course ,then the diff didnot want to come out but did it in the end lol.now tomorrow going to strip the diff and take a big lump of metal off the governer .lets see what happens tomorrow lol i was doing a 14.4 on the strip and that is with no launching hope to be in the 13s with lauching lol

well ive finished the diff all i have to do is practice launching the car in my local ind est to see if it has worked ,if so then my times at avon 3/10/10
should improve alot .

What did you do to the govenor? Lighten it so that the lock stays engaged for longer?

i took the locker diff apart and cut the weight off the governor paw witch will keep it locked when drag racing and launching the car also mate.

well ive drove the car today for the first time tonight with the g80 locker mod and all i have to say is oh my god what a difference .i launched the car at 3k and no more unlocking lads the car just took off i had to get the car into 2nd as fast as possible lol.all i have to say is the car is dam fast and would embarrass alot of so called faster cars lol.
