Default V70 loose vinyl door trim

This morning I've been trying to re-stick the bulging vinyl back on to the door cards on my V70 - without success!

I've seen the same thing on nearly every V70 - the stuff seems to shrink and pull away from the recesses in the door panel.

Previously on 940s and V90s I've managed to do a reasonable job with a heat gun but I think this stuff is foam backed and I can't get it to stick.

Has anyone any hints on how to make a good job of this? The only thing I've read or heard is that Volvo improved it on later cars. Mine's a '98.

(So, anyone know of a scrappy breaking a late model V70 with oak interior?)

Thanks,

Keith

Keith, on reading your post I thought at first I could help you as I have a complete '98 V70 interior stored away (with door cards that are in good condition). Unfortunately it's grey!

Surprised to hear this, I thought it only applied to the later 960's. Apparently it was a different type of adhesive that was used when putting the door cards together, the only option I've heard is to partialy remove the cloth/leather and then re stretch and glue it again, I've not tried this yet but I'll have to at some point on my 960.
