Default i needed one of these

i needed one of these auto boxes for mind as the auto box started playing up then some young lad drove up the back of my 1999 V70R awd writing it of and then i spot a box that would have fixed it so i thought i would post this in case anyone else needs a aw55-50 as £450 does not seem expensive

Hi Andy,

I'm not sure it would have worked for you. The V70 R AWD gearbox is an AW50/51AWD.

The 2000 2.4T also used this gearbox for the AWD version car, but the one on ebay is for the 2wd version (of the 2nd generation V70, not the classic shape).

I really don't know what the actual difference is, but seems like there's something linked to the AWD.

Cheers,

Oli
