240GLT calipers on a 1972 144
Evening all...
Can anyone confirm if I can fit 240 calipers onto my 144? Do the flexipipes connect as per usual - or will I need to get some custom pipes made? Cheers |

So, are you converting to vented discs?

John - the current discs are way past their best, and the calipers are not fun either. So if I have to upgrade as a set that is ok. I do however think that a 144DL auto is not really going to tax the braking system too much!!! Can I use solid 240 dics?

240 discs are totaly diffent and will not fit. The 240 calipers are plumbed in with copper as asposed to flexis on the 140. You would have to work out some method of putting copper pipes between the caliper and the flexi to use them.
Your best bet is to buy refurb calipers and new 140 discs they are not that expensive. |
