General: 140: - Hero summer trial 2010

For those who maybe interested I have just completed in the HERO Summer Trial classic rally, Co Driven by my son in my twin sons Volvo 144. I get to play because my other son who normally drives is in Aus with Mum. Otherwise I just get to do the maintenance and deliver the car to the events. The Results are at

However as HERO events are all about medals rather than overall positions we won a Bronze medal, 8th overall and 2nd in class. Pictures are at

John, I updated the links by copying Tony Large' s website but when you get to his link all you have to do now is find the Summer Trial links from his home page under the rallying tab. I forgot to say next up is the North Yorkshire Classic out of York on 1 Aug. Details available on the HRCR website and follow the Clubmans Rally Chamionship link.

Further photos have been added to the Tony Large Photographic website and our input now starts on page 31. I would have posted photos but they are currently copywrite. Of interest is at the Kinsham cart track we were just 6 seconds slower than the fastest car a Lotus Elan.

I can't come on 1st August (clashes with the VOC meet at Wetherby) but if you post up future events/dates in advance I might be tempted to come and cheer you on!

Is BKV at Wetherby on Saturday as well, if so I could bring the Volvo before going off to scruntineering at York. It would be really good to meet you and put a face to the man who has encouraged my efforts through a restoration project in this forum. All change, yet more photos posted, we now start on page 34.

No; BKV is just Sunday I believe. Some people camping Saturday night possibly, but I'm not.

But yes it would be good to meet... maybe at the next event?
