Always use proper fuel pipe clamps. These are smooth surfaced and clamp better. Jubillee's are very inefficient in these small sizes and the screw notches can damage the pipe. They are also very ugly!
Having said that, if the fuel pipe is the correct size and in good condition there's no real need for clamps. There's virtually no pressure anywhere to force the petrol out. No clamps used on the joiner pipes between SU's for example and they cope fine with the pump. |
