I wonder how daveroberts is doing?
Thanks Wooble I did try looking up there as I did change one on my 1991 240SE,I will just have to limber up first and jamb myself into the most undignified position.

When searching I did notice subtle differences under the drivers side footwell?Relays that looked different and very scant wiring compared to the "J" reg.

Does anyone on here happen to own the last print of the Haynes manual? The purple one,I once had a look in one at halfords years ago and didn't get to read it as the rice paper was so thin you could see the reverse writing showing through,And it was a small light grey font and my eyes aren't that good anymore. The back was full of supplements for the last models.
I have spotted them on ebay but didn't know just how useful it would be.
Regards Brian.

Hi Stiggy yes thats the one goes up to "K" reg.The price can vary tremendously though and halfords(when they had them)were huge.Thats why I didn't get one.
I find you need all the different manuals through all the different years as they each have supplements for later models,And the earlier books have better pictures and more of them,And the writing is in a bigger font Lol.I have quite a few.
Thanks Brian.

I have that edition of Haynes, although it is now faded white on the cover & has been nibbled by a certain 'puppy'! lol.

If you need anything scanned & posted Brian..................

Mike
But that looks red. My red Haynes goes up to K but I see no supplements at the back.

Has anyone tried those CDs available on eBay? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT Are they useful to go alongside Haynes and they Kosher?

I bought some Vadis discs for my 850. Works okay, but no not Kosher.

I didn't even think about it being a dodgy copy, till I was told on here. LOL
