Default V90 rear tailgate washer.not working

Hi I would like to warn V90 owners and may be 960 estate owners of a problem I had.My rear tailgate washer stopped working.I kept on trying it as you do,pump working o/k,no obvious sign of a leak.I then found water comimg in the car front footwell it was a broken plastic connector connecting a rubber pipe under the bonnet to a plastic pipe inside the car,the connector is hard to see as it is right up behind the accelerator cable after removing nee panel and side panel I also had to remove an ecu box as well.the repair was simple, but it took me three days to dry out the carpets with a hair drier. It also was spraying water on the two ecu units.you cannot see this leak until it starts filling up the footwell, front and rear on the drivers side,Beware if your tailgate washers stop working dont keep pressing the button check for this problem.Regards Norman

Just done mine, renewed the rear washer bottle motor, then found the rest of the system blocked, the two inline filters where stuffed with algie, i think, presumably from not being used for a long time, thought i had blown it through but what had realy happened was the pipe had come off a tee piece when i blew it out from the join in the engine compartment,i used a big syringe, luckie for me i had not pumped to much water through it when i found the leak,it had obviously happened before as some one had also put a cable tye on it to help hold it on.Awfull place to put a join.have been under the footwell on my V70 today and thats got the same sort of set up in the same place,Volvo lunacy.Still another job done on old "Hector" he gets better every minuet
