  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

No, the transponder key is for the imobiliser, and the transponder is in the key its self.

It communicates with a receiver in the dash which allows your engine to start so, yes, it "mobilises" your car.
The key fob, if you have one, goes with the "Guard" system to lock and unlock the car and turns an alarm system on/off.
