I would say not.................... as I would think the 9 to be wider......

If it helps, I recently obtained one for my 850 from Braydons:

http://www.braydonmotors.co.uk/

£50 They also took the time to find a guard in good nick, then to hunt the yard for one with good pistons

Good luck.

Default 940 1997 Dog Guard...

Hi
I recently bought a Volvo Dog Guard on ebay which was from a 1997 940 estate... I have a 1995 N 940 Estate... Can anyone tell me if the guard is compatible, because it doesn't seem a perfect fit as far as the fittings are concerned (alignment)... For example; I am going to have to drill holes into the roof of the car where the guard screws in as the fitting has a prong molded onto it.

Hope someone here can make sense of this!

Cheers

MicVic,Thats why i asked the question of chrisjbc,i know the earlier guards that fit the 740/760s fit some early 940/960s,i think the later 960/V90s are also differant, there are holes in my 960 P reg for a guard to fit in, indeed the former owner had one fitted, but didn't sell it with the car.i am not going to drill holes in mine,i would advise you to do the same.when i get the chance of one i will ask Volvo customer services if it is compatable,it could come down to chassis numbers.

toplights941: yeah; I think I've bought the wrong one - why on earth they would change the fittings at the end of the 940's existence is beyond me - I'll take your advice - I don't really want to bodge it in. Would be interested in what you find out. BTW does that mean you are looking for the dog guard that I have (from a 97 940) - if so would you be interested in mine?
