Apparently you can have the laser diffusers tested........no really on one of the websites that sells detectors etc. you can take your car out and they aim the laser gun at your speeding car and make sure that the diffuser does it's job! the diffusers need to be mounted horizontally to the car, if not they don't work properly. At least thats what I was told when mine was fitted.
