Ok Guys and Girls....I have now changed my discs and pads again, the first ones i bought where from ECP and warped within 1000 miles(split the pads in half) so I thought sod it and bought grooved black dimond discs. Have had them on the car for 300miles and the only problem is that under heavyish braking i get massive vibration through the car.Seems to be coming from the nearside rear.i did feel the same kind of thing before with the old brakes but not as bad. Any idea's anyone

I stock Black Diamond drilled and grooved front and rear discs for these cars...drilled or grooved only to order.
It is my opinion that these are the very best in terms of the quality of base material in the aftermarket. The aftermarket suppliers for drilled/grooved discs are in many ways otherwise cosmetically driven. However, on these cars they will still warp if given too much stick, and particularly must be bedded in sensibly before any moderate heavy use. If your supplier sends warped BD's back to them you will get a very straight and honest opinion of the reason for any warping..... they know their stuff! Cheap aftermarket discs on these powerfull and heavy cars will never be as effective even as Volvo' own replacements. If your vibration is coming from the rear it is very often just a question of dismantling and cleaning the rear set up. They are very little used and do get very mucky with age. I have hear a lot of people complaining about 280mm discs warping,Would it not be better to upgrade to 302mm as these tend not to warp?

Dons right, you need to strip down all the rear components and see what the problem is.

Seems it might have just been the pads/discs bedding themselves in...Havn't had the problems show up again in the last day or 2...fingers crossed everything will be ok.
