Default XC60 Active 4C Chassis - Feedback please

Hi All

Can anyone give me feedback on whether the Active 4C Chassis on the XC60 is worth the £1000+ cost ??.

Particularly interested to know if the 'Comfort' setting is any different to the standard feel/ride of an XC60 ?

Thanks

Mark

Impressed so far with the 4C. Noticeable changes between the different settings and does improve the handling. My car tends to be left in Sport mode most of the time but on motorways and particularly bumpy back roads/speed humps Comfort is best. Advanced really firms up the ride but is great for hustling the car along dual carriageways with multiple roundabouts.

Compared to the XC60 I test drove that didn't have it, for me at least, the 2 cars are poles apart in terms of handling. The dealer did say that my XC60 was only the second one they'd supplied with 4C.

Personally I opted not to have this due to reported problems with the 4C (the article I read also stated this was the reason why Volvo deleted it on the S80/V70 Sport models).

yeah do a search - somewhere on here there's a thread about the 4c problem - to do with it bouncing/undulating in certain conditions - although i seem to recall it dealt specifically with towing...

Never had any problems with ours. I tend to run in Sport, while the Wife prefers Comfort. Off-road, tend to use the Advanced Mode.
The only thing I would have liked though, is the facility, along with the steering options, of having them linked to the key fob so they automatically changed with driver.

Have the 4C system on my current 2010 model S80 (and previous model). Works well, quite pleased.
