Default Changing headlight wiper blades.

I've almost snapped on clean off trying to remove the stump of rubber left on the old one, how do I get them off? I have the rubber blade and metal support, so no rubber strip removal needed.

Is it the complete blade plus arm that you want to remove ? The plastic cover can be flicked up which protects the end of the motor spindle , then remove the nut , think its something like 8mm . You can get a special puller for the job but mine is also a 2001 V70 and managed to get them off using a large flat blade screwdriver and a small peice of wood to protect the bumper and to get some leverage . The splines will probably be seized solid if they have never been removed before but you will get them off with persistance, the black rubber water pipe is just a push fit . Can post a photo if it would help ?

Just want to get the blade off to replace it. I'm sure it's just a click and a twist, but so it a totally broken wiper arm.

The ones on mine are Bosch and the blade just pulls straight out of the holder , dont twist it , should come out very easily , you dont have to remove the complete arm to replace the blade , no doubt replacement blades for these cost more than full size ones ?

For the record, then just pop straight out, away from the plastic shroud.
