hi. for sale volvo v70 cd t5 1997 manual £850.
mot jan 12th 2010. no tax.
220k miles. fully stamped up book with some receipts

work i suspect needs doing for mot;

abs unit solder repair (light on) diy 20p of solder.
engine management light on. dont know, possible split turbo hose?
front wishbone rubbers. £18 set of four.
front drop links £18 pair
possibly driveshaft rubbers (common) approx price £28 for inner & outer/l&r.

brake discs seem ok.
ratte on exhaust (heatshield-just pull it off or it will just drop off)

slight scrape on rear arches, cosmetic only.

got this for a winter project, but since broken my arm and i dont know when i will be back to normal again, so decided to sell.

good luck with the sale, bit of info, i had the engine light on mine too, however once the brake ecu was done it went out, the two might be connected.

hi. update;

abs and engine management light repaired.

for sale as is; £850.
for sale with 12 months mot; £1350

jobs required for mot;

a) rear exhaust hanger bracket
b) front n/s & o/s drop links and wishbones £18 (pair) droplinks £42 (pair) wishbones.

maintenance jobs required;
turbo oil return gasket and o ring (£3.00 & 1 hours work)
drivers door strap (£22 & 30 minutes work)
oil filler cap seal £1.10 & 1 minute job)

will have renewed mot in mid january 2010 ish
once i have 12 months mot on it, price will go to £1350
buy it now with 1 month mot; £850

since advertising at a cheap price prior to any work being done, and attracting no interest at the cheap price.

i have since done most the work for the mot and all what needs doing for mot is front wishbone bushes.

since my arm is broken, i have booked the car in for mot and instructed them to change the bushes for me.

after putting on a full mot, the price is going to be £1350 ovno. this is still cheap for a v70 t5 cd top spec.

the other little jobs need doing to "put it right" are;

rear nearside elctric window fix (suspect switch)

drivers door check strap (supplied, not yet fitted)
turbo oil return pipe o ring and gasket (supplied, not yet fitted)

if i have time and my arm is upto it, i will fit the drivers door check strap
also the turbo oil return pipe gasket and o ring.

engine is fine, not showing any signs of smoke, or rattles, and i am confident enough to say this car will do many more miles providing oil/belts/coolant/filters etc are changed at the recommended intervals.

due to lack of interest at low price prior to any of the jobs being done, i have give it to the garage for the fixes and mot.
car in garage, when it comes out monday afternoon, it will have full mot and turbo return pipe new seals fitted.
only jobs required is;
drivers door strap (supplied)
rear electric window not working..suspect switch.
