I replaced the number plate bulbs with LED's and also the front side lights (as I have xenon's) which improves the look ten fold but will look into the number plate surround.

Ive just ordered my wife a XC90 D5 185 Active Geartronic which I believe is the S model with some added features ( xenons, privacy glass, Ipod, Winter Pack ....)

She currently has an BMW X3 and loves it but we were looking for something larger. Her current X3 has been a dream when it comes to running costs and we are buying the XC90 with 3 years worth of servicing included. Her car comes in December and we have ordered it in Magic Blue Pearl.

I am curious as to what type of buld were the LEDs replacing and also where I could find the R design insert for the bumper....I am in Scotland but dont know where we could find these items.

Hi Paul,
The LED's were these:

They are a sort of blade push fit rather than bayonet type - 4 will cover the front side lights and rear number plate bulbs.

The bumper insert - try Parts For Volvo - you'll find them mentioned on here many times over - they should be able to identify the piece and give you a quote.
