I don't know where, but I picked up a hedgehog load of panel pins at the weekend - in my tyres
![]() So, I'm looking at all the options available to me. I currently have 215/45R17s fitted - I was wondering if 225/45s would fit without rubbing the wheelarch liners? Remember its an 850R with (factory) lowered suspension. I know the original spec is 205/45 but I like wide tyres ![]() Thanks

Can't comment on the R but my 850 T5 is wearing Callisto alloys with 225/45 rubber and they rub on full lock quite a lot - I try to avoid it.

I have 225/45/17 on the V70 and it rubs if its on full lock, I aim to look at adjusting the lock stops to prevent this, if thats not possible then I will find another way to prevent it rubbing otherwise its unknown tyre wear (dangerous) and a certain MOT fail when they see evidence of it occuring - Mike

Try c70 steering stops,£6 each from main dealer. i've had them fitted to my 850R with 205/45 tyres and no more rubbing.
Part No. 8614257 Steering Stops and 973883 Rivets.total cost £14.50.

I fitted C70 Comets with 225/45/17's onto my S70 and they rubbed at full lock. Fitted a pair of BLUE C70 steering stops and problem solved. They are about £12 + P&P from Rufe.
