Is it a 1.7 petrol or 1.9 diesel?
It comes off pretty much the same way as on other cars, but the engine (strut) has to be lowered in order for the gearbox to come out of the engine bay.

The box can stay in the engine bay, if you drop the subframe on the near side there is enough room to move the gearbox back and gain access to the clutch. Beware not to drop the subframe too far as you will dislodge the steering column.
The inner drive shaft has a roll pin to hold it in position, the outer does not, make sure when replacing inner drive shaft on the splines to align the holes for the roll pin.

Possibly its a B20F (2.0 petrol). I can help with genuine volvo parts if you are interested. The part number for the B20F clutch kit is 3270515. This retails at £204.70 inc vat, we can supply it for £159.43 including delivery anywhere in the UK (mainland, exc some highlands). This kit includes the cover, plate and bearing. You may have found a non genuine one cheaper, but this may help if you want genuine parts.
