Default 2002 V70 Auto Petrol - Sticks on pull away

When i pull away, it feels almost like the front pads are sticking. i have tried jacking it up after heavy breaking but the wheels are free. if i stop then apply the hand brake, there is no problem when i pull away. Also on a couple of occasions when slowing almost to a stop i have experienced what feels like the sensation of going over a small speed hump. i suddenly jerks or jars. i am concerned it is a transmission problem. Anyone got any ideas.

i don't quite understand what the rear parking brake shoes would have to do with it. As i said, if i stop and apply the handbrake then release the handbrake as i pull away, no problem.

Is it the stop neutral function of the gearbox - going into neutral almost at a standstill with the footbrake on? I don't think it would come into play if you had the handbrake and not the footbrake on.

I think this could well be the answer. Had a look on the swedespeed site and it describes the symptoms of a faulty neutral control. It matches the symptoms my car perfectly. Many Thanks.

There is a software upgrade available to get rid of it.
