Hi,

Flatbed recovery vehicle or you'll need dollys for the wheels on the ground.

You can't tow a car with an autobox unless you don't mind loosing the box!!
You could, theoretically lift the car by the rear wheels and tow, but there is no guarantee your front wheels will be in a straight line to the tow vehicle..

So a flatbed is safest way to proceed..

Des. . .

the other thing to remember about towing is, these A frames you see being used behind RV'S are not legal in the UK due to the weight of the car being towed.
they are classed as an unbreaked trailer and there is only one car known to be less than 750kgs, some wee french thing.
the law is quite clear on them and states they can only be used to tow to the nearest safe place.
yes i know you see them everywhere and your average police man will not stop you or even know the ins and outs of trailer laws but you have a bad bump and the traffic boys and the insurance companies will.

Depends on what you are doing, you could take the propshaft off if you really need to move it.
