Rare 240 GLT for sale

I am somewhat reluctantly selling on my 240 GLT, mainly due to me not using it as much as it deserves. The car has featured in Driver on a number of occasions including appearing on the front cover. I have owned it for the past seven years and have taken it on club holidays abroad, last year it went all round Sweden.

It is a 1990 saloon in gold, 81,000 miles with just 2 registered keepers from new. It has a full history with all receipts. The car has the B230E engine without a catalyser, auto box, tan leather upholstery, sunroof, a full facia of instruments and a Volvo R steering wheel, fog lights, headlamp covers, an RDS radio cassette. The car was delivered via Volvo Tourist and Diplomatic sales to the English wife of an American serviceman based in the UK. She owned it until I bought it in 2002. It is currently cared for by Kastner Volvo in Exeter. It is taxed until Feb 2010 and MOT until August and I have no doubt that it will pass the next one with flying colours.

It is insured via Chris Knott with an agreed value of £2500 (which is obviously not what it will sell for but gives an idea of condition). I would like to realise £1500 and I would think that a person who is genuinely looking for one of these on viewing it will realise that it is worth that sum. It is not an average GLT.
