1997 Volvo S70 T5
For sale is my 1997 Volvo S70 T5
92877 miles (with previous mot's to prove) tax till 30/06/09 mot till 2/10/09 Spec list all usual S70 T5 spec Half leather with front heated seats 8 speaker sound system with 6 disc changer in the boot Built in sat nav ect ect Engine (all work carried out by HLM) 19t turbo 3" down pipe race cat miltek cat back exhaust Rica custom remap ITG panel filter Should be good for at least 330bhp/270bhp at the wheels (certainly feels like this) suspension and brakes S70R suspension 302mm front brakes (nearly new) braided brake lines ferodo ds2500 brake pads (nearly new) Volvo front upper strut brace Wheels and tyres 17" thor wheels front uniroyal rainsport tyres Rear flaken tyres All with good tread All the work was carried out in 2007 at 79,000 miles by a previous owner at the same time the following were replaced rotor arm distributor cap ht leads wheel bearings igniton switch and lock barrel cambelt oil filler cap seal thermostat and seal water temp sensor top engine mount the timing belt was replaced again in 2008 buy the previous owner for peace of mind motoring, he also replaced other suspension components for which I have a file full of receipts to prove all the work and parts. I also have all the parts to replace the pcv system which normally needs doing around 100k. In the last month i have also replaced 2 drop links and a cv boot. Body work Few stone chips on the front bumper and bonnet which are only shown up due to the dark colour of the car The odd scratch and small dint which are hardly noticeable No rust anywhere to be seen There are a couple of niggles with the car which are as follows Air con pump is on its way out, somedays it will work all day and then somedays it will work on and off. There is a slight knocking noise when going over uneven surfaces or when coming to a stop at low speeds or when puling away slowly, ive had it into 2 local garages and they both cant find anything untoward so ive just put up with it. Ive tried to be as honest as I can but if theres anything else that you need to know feel free to ask either contact me on here or by email tongeymbk@hotmail.com or by phone on 07535681442 If any car deserved the phrase "wolf in sheeps clothing" it should be this it can embarass most cars if you decide to push on a bit or it can be completely civilised and potter about in complete silence whilst drawing no attention whatsoever. PRICE £2800 ono I purchased the car on the 18th march 2009 for quite a bit more than im selling it! so ive only owned it for just over a month but there is nothing dodgy about the sale, my interests are just going down a different direction now. I may be interested in a part ex with a smaller car, with cash either way, im only selling due to wanting to get into the track day scene so something different is needed really I feel I have priced it fairly considering the spec and millage but I have also taken into concideration the couple of faults. |

Not really interested however, it looks like a very nice S70!
Might be worth stating why/when/if/etc the dash instruments were changed from normal to the R blue style. Good luck with the sale! |

Have to agree with the above ^ no offence fella but that's one hell of a unrealistic price tag

I'd say that the price isn't to high as it looks like a rather tidy and subtly modifed motor, plus the sat nav is incredible rare. Never seen it in a S70, ever! Good luck!

as already said its very overpriced, id be interested at £2000 but id need to know more about this clicking issue if possible.
if the car was A1 id be happy at £2500 but the clicking issue could get very costly hence my £2000 offer. Last edited by bonelorry; May 17th, 2009 at 18:58. |
