Heater Matrix - source?
Gonna have to change this shortly, using the excellent guide on here, so need to source one.
Any thoughts on a cost-effective source?. The only ones I can find online, from places like PartsForVolvos, are a ridiculous price(>£100!). Are the s/h ones from ebay or breakers a false economy? I can get one that way for less than £30. £60-70 for a new/OEM part probably isn't totally out of the question, but money's tight at the mo'.

Try your local radiator reconditioners.

I got mine from eBay, it was an OEM part - comparing it to the genuine part on the car it seemed identical - only visible difference was you could see where the word "Volvo" had been removed from it!
I would be wary about buying a used one, for one thing they're quite easy to damage when you remove them and also how do you know it's not about to pop anyway? |
