I'm new to the site as i just bought a C70 D5 Sport 03/2008 model. I've been thinking about getting the PPC and was wondering if i can tell which engine i have.
The BSR website lists 2 for the C70 D5

Volvo C70 D5 180Hp/356nm Stage 1 Stage 1: 220Hp / 428Nm
Volvo C70 D5 180hp/400Nm Stage 1 Stage 1: 220Hp / 455Nm

I know i can't change what i have but would be nice to know.

I just spoke to Dyno-tech at Ripley and they offered to tune my C70 D5 to 220Hp/450 ish Nm with before and after dyno readings for £345.

Being a noob at this i'm a bit concerned with it being £200 cheaper than the BSR/Rica and if it is actually good value for money.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and they are only 5 mins from me in Derby, so would save the drive to RT-Mechanics or Kalmar-union.

I don't think its much more than that to have it tuned by say DPA autos in Nottingham, they quoted me £380 on my S60 T5. With the BSR one you pay more because you get the unit as well so you can chop and change your tune when you want rather than being stuck with whatever tune is done.

To be honest I would rather pay less and just get it tuned rather than have the unit but thats just me.

Default Remap

For info Don of Kalmar Union sent the soft loader on loan. I uploaded the remap, then sent it back a few days later. Dead easy.
