cheap volvo 360 wanted
Hi guys im Chelsea and i was a volvo driver until my car died on me today i was totally gutted. Unfortunatly its too expensive to repair. The repair at the moment is to £1500 to fix my baby Before u say £1500??? its because there is a fault with the inside of the gearbox.
So now i am looking for another volvo 360 to replace my baby beasty. If you have one for sale please email me at chelsea_sinclair71@yahoo.com or reply back to my post Thanks |

That sounds expensive!
Best bet is to get a second hand gearbox fixed, what syptoms does the car have as it's not a common failure point on this car |

thought it was the clutch had someone come round to look at it with a new part. But no luck was not the clutch.
You can start it up put it in gear but will not drive. the guy said it maybe the propshaft or gearbox. the diff has been welded with 3.5 inch steel plates. I was driving down the road changed up to 5th and it lost drive. The sound was awful it sounded like a screaming belt. It sounded like it was comin from the front but i couldn't tell really maybe u could help ???? |

It's quite common that the welds break on welded diffs and jam against the casing/get mixed up with the diff innards.
However, another failure on 360's is the torque tube link piece. Best bet is to get a video of the sound, and ask on Volvo 300 Mania. You may well be able to get it back up and running for less than buying another 360! |

Yes I've done a few of these Couplings about 15 years ago , the splines on the gearbox will be ok , all you need is the coupling piece at the rear end of the "propshaft" ... They werer over £100 back then , no doubt no longer available new though ..
