This is my first "Thread". I, and my mechanic are experiencing a real puzzle. I can start the engine and set off down the street, 100 yards down at the first junction I put my foot on clutch and brake - the revs drop and the engine stalls. Start again, next junction same thing, up to 4 or 5 times before it seems to "behave" and for the rest of the journey no more stalling. If I leave the car for say 4 hours at work outside(all this particularly bad in cold weather) the problem recurs. I have a read out from the diagnostic box with the code: ccm 0003 - Evaporator Temperature sensor. The only way I can "control" this situation is to start the engine and let it idle for about 10 minutes in the morning. So far, with this method it does not stall at all. But it is not the way forward, any ideas?

stalling like this is usualy lack of air getting to the engine , try cleaning the carbon fron the throttle flap and internal bore , there should be a gap around the plate to let some air in , with the carbon the idle valve will be working fully open at times to cope .,..
