Hi Rob,

I had my S40 T4 remapped by MTE through the OBD2 diagnostic port about a month ago. I'm very happy with the results so far and would recommend them

I did a lot of acceleration tests before and after the upgrade to see what effect it had, I'll post the results when I've finished doing them. But to summarise, there was approximately a 20-25% improvement in acceleration in the midrange (2500-5000rpm) and 15% at the top end (5000-6000+rpm)

I'd expect the improvement you'd get in yours to be as good or better as its a much larger engine (2.5 vs 2.0) probably running lower boost levels as standard (?)
cheers,
Tim

I know this is a fairly old tread but I have the same question.
I bought a 2004,5 V50 T5 FWD Geartronic a couple months back and have been looking in to getting a remap.

Talked to digituning and they said it was no problem, warranty has expired on my car so its in the clear there.

What puzzled me was that they recommended getting the tune for the 850 T-5 166 kW.

Chk this out
Number 4 from the top http://digituning.com/no/produkter/volvo.htm

Any thought on this?
Is it really so that i can choose my upgrade of the ones specified in their ad?

It seems like they've either a) misunderstood, b) know something we don't about their products, or c) they don't know what they're talking about. Surely you want "V50 2.5T 162 kW", from that list?

cheers

James
