Default V40 rear wiper fault

The rear wiper does not work at all on my V40. I have substituted the motor assembly for a good one and it still does not work. There is live at the connector plug in the tailgate but I suspect thet it's logic is wrong. I suspect that the relay is playing up but cannot identify which one it is or where it is. The local Volvo parts man can't identify it either which is a little surprising . . .maybe it doesn't have one?. Anyone had a similar problem?.

have a look in the passenger compartment fusebox and in particular fuse no. 10 which should be a 10A fuse, looking at the fuse panel it will be the 3rd up from the right hand bottom

As far as I know the relay is located behind the drivers side panel. Well at least in my car that's where the intermitant clicking is coming from each time the wiper makes a sweep.

Hope this helps...
