Yeh it does look nice but the description says flood damage which equals one dead car.

Anyone else notice that it has different wheels on either side?

Not sure if thats sarcasm, but the s80 is obvious & has chrome round the side windows & the s60 has the much stronger curved rear lights
& no chrome.

Not sarcasm.
From the pics I wouldnt have been able to say one was an 80 and the other a 60, and you can only see the rear lights on one pic. But the write up does say selling a large selection of volvos.

There's a C30, too. Flood damage is a tricky one. In theory, you wouldn't think it's that bad...but all fluids will (probably) be contaminated, the electronics are likely to be shot, plus for all you know it may well have had raw sewerage floating around it. Not nice...

I guess you need to work on your Volvo-nerd skills there Brocky

cheers

James

i knew they were different cars, but only by the wheels and i couldnt have told you which was which lol

Flood damage, if raw sewage goes straight to crusher, if clean water damage, its a cat c or d depending whats been done.

A car as fresh as that sadly would probably be worth more for breaking. Where would you go to get ecu ect, very few that age for breaking. Sad to see

It is listed as cat B so can't go back on the road. Only C's and D's can.

In Carlisle when we had our floods a few years back the dealers refused to even touch the cars to assess them due to sewage contamination.

That cars at TL Harvey along with alot of brand new volvos which came from Johnson Volvo, the cars where all damaged as you know during November floods last year. After speaking with a Volvo tech once the cars been in water its no good to anyone especially these cars which where subject to raw sewage contamination (info from Johnsons).last time I was at Harveys there was over 100 Volvos.
