There is a Harratt's in Sheffield, they are on Savile St and they do a good job though as you would expect quite expensive, Speak to Peter in service reception he is always helpful. I actually use Gunning motor engineers on Pitsmoor road, they are an excellent old fashioned type of Garage, you will always see some exotic cars being serviced my S60 2.4T was recently done for £259.00 Full service including fluids(Duncan is a Mate of mine though and we do all our cars there including the F plate 740.

Just shows how long it is since I have used him. I would have sworn that he traded as DPS though, David Pengelly Services I thought, anyway, happy to be wrong about the detail, still a good garage and good bloke!

What if I was to match the quote of a indipendant.
You get a quote and give us a ring and we will try match any like for like quote.

I used AB gelders Sheffield once and they were sound, as for Harratts Barnsley - nothing but snobby gits, dunno about Wakefield but a nice offer anyway.

I've started using PW Autos, Mailn Bridge, Sheffield.

Very reasonably priced and a Volvo independant specialist.

The downside is he's bad on communications, I asked for a price for a couple of tyres over two weeks ago and it took ages to get a price for a new gearbox tailcase bush.

Based on a recommendation I have used South Carlton Motors, 50 High Road, Carlton-in-Lindrick, Worksop S81 9EB Tel 01909 730386 for a new clutch in the 240 plus other bits that needed to be done prior to a Scandinavian trip earlier this year. Very impressed with their attitude , prices etc and thoroughly meriting their inclusion the the VOC list of recommended Independents. The gent I dealt with was Simon Hopkinson who I think is the owner but he is very enthusiastic about Volvos of all ages and certainly struck me as being very competant when discussing both of my cars with him.
I would not hesitate to take the S60 there for its next service and any other work needed on either vehicle.
