Default Retro fit info centre

I am dealing with an enquiry about retro fitting the info centre to a 2008/9 V50 as it was not fitted as standard. Volvo have quoted a massive cost for this, but I thought I would get the benefit of the vast knowledge that visits here before I contact Volvo.

Havent looked, but the usual way IF it is in the accessory book is a new stalk and a software to download the info centre function .. as per S60 V 70 S 80 etc

Im also intersted in retro fitting the trip computer into my s40.

Does anybody know where i can purchase the necessary stalk from?

Fitment seems pretty easy so will attempt myself and then take a trip down to my local indy for the software upgrade.

I tried to do this on my S40, dealer quoted me £80 parts, and £220 for the software upgrade....

I guess an independant would be cheaper. The main dealer also wanted £500 to fit cruise control.... ouch!!

This particular member has all the hardware already on the car, just needs the software. He has been quoted £300. Tad steep.
