blocked vacuum pipe
I used carb cleaner to unblock the small cream colour (vacuum?) pipe that runs between the air inlet nipple (which plugs into the throttle body/fresh air inlet hose) and the vacuum tree. It was badly blocked with carbonized oil deposits.
Yet, the car had been running reasonably well, albeit with poor engine braking especially in low gears. Anyway, what is the function of this pipe? It goes between the fresh air inlet hose and the vacuum tree. ( a pic would be helpful so I'll see if I can get one) Thanks in advance..
