It sounds like a thing that is worth getting just to increase the life of the exhaust, is it true?

thanks

I saw this the other day and have been thinking of getting one for my 98 V70R 241k. The support brackets on the rear box broke last year and an improvised bracket was welded on.

It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has one fitted.

Yes they are the same as far as i could see

I just wondering because it doesn't cost that much and looks quite easy to install, when the car was on a ramp the other day i actually saw the holes where the nuts on this product is supposed to go.

Bought one last year and had to fit a few weeks ago as the original had rusted. Easy to fit but make sure it is tha same way as the original as the pins that connect to the rubber hangers are slightly offset. Tip put the top section in the hangers first then lift up the exhaust and fix the bottom clamp.

they are not a mod but a replacement item as the origionals rust... the clamp fits around the exhaust pipe between the rear box and the tail trim, the hooks attach to rubber mounts which are in turn attached by a plate to the chassis....
i think you may get a discount on the ebay ones, i have come accross this vendor before and he is a volvo buff...
cheers

Thumbs up

I've had one of these fitted to mine for a few years from eBay now, with no problems. He also claimed it had heat resistant paint too.
