Immobiliser Control Box
Hi stust5,
the imobiliser control box, is located under the steering wheel. If you take the bottom steering wheel surround, and the plastic cover which is above the pedals, you will see the imobiliser unit sitting there. If you follow the wires from the antenna ring, which is around the ignition barrell, you will see that the wires go into the imobiliser ecu as well. hope this is of some help regards stuart

Forgive me butting in, and also excuse me if the problem has been fixed- i'm only on page 4 out of 10 or more of this thread..!
Either you have a poor output from the CAS due to poor alignment, bent sensing pin, or faulty sensor, and or wiring plug, or low cranking speed (though this would usually be a problem with a cold engine..) OR the CPS is still faulty! Tim. |

Ive had the exact same prob with my car, sometimes cranking over with out it sparking and after changing the coil pack, dist, new plugs n leads, a week in a garage (all this after the car having to be towed 300miles!) i tried the transponder / imobiliser trick and it seems to have worked......Thanks so much for everyones concerted efforts

well my updateis that my problem is still here. Ive replaced the coil & powerpack, distrib cap, leads, transponder reader, cam sensor, plugs and i still have problems with the engine starting only after 3 or 4 turns of the key once the engine has been for a run and left for about 20 mins. If u turn the car off and turn the key, the car starts immediately but once its left to cool for approx twenty mins, then yer back to the same old story.
its the devils work I tell ye!
