You're very kind, Jim.

The car has been off the road for some little time having the dreaded metal cancer dealt with. It has had two new inner wing tops, two rear shock absorber top mounts, all four wheel arch inners repaired, the front and rear screens out for the famous scuttle-top repairs, a lot of work! I'm v. hopeful that it will be back on the road before Xmas; hopeful, but not too expectant!

As to Pa, he gave up driving when he hit 80; I have to say I was pleased 'cos he had given me the odd scare in the months prior to stopping, which considering he did an average of 25k miles p.a. from Dec'74 to Dec 87 surprised me a tad. He's quite happy now with lifts from me, and to get down the pub on Friday evening and Sunday lunchtime he has a mobility scooter - sorted.

I never thought those wheels would suit a 140, but in fact they look excellent... the slightly lower suspension makes a big difference of course.

(I'm shortly going to try a set of galaxies on my 164. I'll post a picture when I have them).
