Dyno Result for the 700R
Good points : 258Bhp at the crank with 280ft/lbs of torque at 1.7bar (23 psi) of boost. Bad points - Short story : Engine is shot. Bad Points - Long story : On the drive down, the car seems to struggling at some points to get up and go. Once we arrived, Iain noticed that it was not idling on all 4 cylinders (James and myself thought that this was due to the 630cc injectors that had recently been installed). Iain did a compression test and leak test on all the cylinders. Cylinder 1 : 150 Compression, 41% leak Cylinder 2 : 170 Compression, 30% (I think) leak Cylinder 3 : 150 Compression, 40 % leak Cylinder 4 : 190 Compression, No leak test. So, it seems that the rings are shot and from the tuning runs we did, it was down to the spark map being set too agressively off boost. On boost map was pretty much good. We did two power runs anyway which gave the 258bhp figure. From what Iain said, with a good bottom end, it would of been over the 300 mark. On the way home, the car decided to blow its head gasket and then one of the studs holding the turbo on decided to shear off. Next plan is to pull the engine next weekend and start a full bottom end rebuild with decent internals (John V ;-)) ) balanced to 7k with a decent cam (graph shows that A cam is dead after 5500). Hoping to be back on the road next May. Engine Specifications:

Nice work... and bloody impressive figures! Shame about the block though... although I'm sure all the hard work will pay off eventually

Sorry to hear the bad news Ryan but im sure she'll be back even better next year.
If you can an in depth stage by stage report (with pics) of the rebuild would be nice.
