Default Spare wheel/tyre for an XC60 T8 '22

Finally got a T8 '22 with 20" wheels.

As I drive to some pretty remote locations and some gravel tracks in the UK, would really like a spare wheel.

Has anybody had any luck with sourcing a spare wheel, don't want a full size alloy as it will take up all the boot space.

Done some research and found that a Rangerover velar/Jaguar F/I pace wheels have the same bolt pattern and bore as the XC60.

You can pick up spares pretty cheap on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395441579...Bk9SR8KqofuHZA

Tyre fitted is 3% larger but you can also get a tyre from Camskill that is almost exactly the same size.

Might seem obvious but have you asked your local Volvo dealer how much a new spacesaver spare wheel and tyre is?

I ordered a new spacesaver spare wheel/tyre when I got my 22 XC60 so happy to give you any details of the factory spare wheel/tyre if that's useful?

Thanks the plug in hybrid has no room for the tempa spare wheel kit and is £275.

True, but if you don't have the room for ANY spare wheel and are going to have to put it in the boot anyway I'd personally pay £275 for a proper fit Volvo wheel and tyre with accessories than save £75 for an eBay wheel and tyre that fits a Jag/Land Rover at £199 as above.

They're both spacesavers and one is guaranteed to fit perfectly.

Each to their own!

The reason I was looking at the Jaguar spare is there is a question mark whether the tempa spare actually fits over the XC60 T8 front brake calipers.

We've got a Road Hero kit for our Disco Sport, which we take when towing our caravan. They look to have options that fit most cars. More details here: https://www.roadhero.co.uk/

Just be careful. Not sure about XC60, but for XC90 it was impossible to find a spacesaver (even from Volvo) which fits the front wheels. The brakes on the T8 are bigger and there wasn't the internal clearance on the front to fit.

I still bought it, but knew that in the event of a front puncture I would have to swap regular wheel back to front and then put spacesaver on the rear.

As it was I drove 176k miles and never used it.

I have jut bought one for my my XC60 with 21" tyres.
They told the only approved Volvo one is the 19" spare tyre. Only to be used for minimal mileage if possible, so I would be 100% the jaguar one would be covered by your insurance or even Volvo on a warranty issue.
