Default V60 D4 2019 gearbox oil change NorthWest

Hello everyone. Want to ask if anybody from NorthWest had their gearbox oil changed and could recommend place and possibly what was the quote please? Very hard to find someone who is willing to do it based on "sealed for life" or doesn't want arm and leg for it. Thanks

Hallmark Volvo in Stockport.

Trevor Burgess in Hyde.

Both are independent Volvo Specialists, but are North West based.

Your transmission takes JWS3324 or AW-1 fluid... Its not cheap.

I haven't had it done on a car with the 8-speed transmission, but have done on a 6-speed with the older fluid (which is also cheaper) - It was £150, but that was about 18 months ago and prices have changed since then.

As the recommended fluid for your transmission is more expensive, I'd probably say somewhere in the region of £250 ish. Can't give an accurate quote, sorry.

I posted a question too,re transmission fluid change a month ago. Have a search on my user name and you’ll find it
there is a specialist who can flush it using some kit that can extract 90% of old fluid in Stretford, Manchester
TBH. Southport is easiest for you in Liverpool

Thanks everyone. Trevor Burgess in Hyde was the only one who got back to me and for what it seems to me like a reasonable price so I will book it with them. Will find out if any of this "dont do oil change after 100k miles as it might cause more problems" is true or not.

£285 inc. vat. The other quote i had from garage which is closer to me was £385 so I take it as good price considering how much recommendation Trevor Burgess has on this forum.

Its not true. If the fluid has been changed before, changing it at over 100k is no problem.

Changing the fluid on a car that has never had a transmission service in its life probably isn't a good idea, but that's not the case for you. Another words, if you bought a car with 180k on it with no records of transmission servicing, then its probably best left alone.

Not a bad price. I wasn't far out with my guess of £250.

Trevor Burgess is well known, as are Hallmark. Both good garages. Just a bit of trek for you.

@Kev0607
My 2027 XC90 now has 106000 miles on the clock.
I cannot find any evidence of any previous the transmission fluid being changed during this cars lifetime.
Are you advising not to get a gearbox oil service?

If you read the post, you would see that I said I wouldn't advise it on really high mileage vehicles. 106,000 miles isn't high mileage...
