Default tyre markings

Volvan needs new tyres, thinking cross climate 2, best price I can find is £607 for 4 fitted, but I have a question to those who have them fitted. What tyre markings do they have? Do they have BOTH the 3 mountain peak symbols AND the M+S , as both are required in Alpine regions later this year. Most sites only show the 3 peaks marking?

What are they like to live with, and whats their longevity? Options? cheers.

I think these days the M&S markings are less relevant, it just means the tread pattern has more lateral passages for dispersing mud and snow. Any tyre with the 3PMS symbol, which refers to tyre testing in snow, will be default have a good M&S tread design.

As stated above, the Cross Climate 2 has both symbols - I have them on a set of spare wheels for winter. Yet to use them in snow, but ready for the Alps next season. There's a good video on Youtube by DriveLife about his using Cross Climates in northern Sweden on his front wheel drive only S80.

Been on these for a number of years now and love them, as 4x4 says both markings are on. Just replaced all four on mine at the end of April.
I went to ATS as they had an offer on + a £50 E Voucher which then worked out at £489.96 fully fitted with Nitrogen fill.

If your tracking is good and suspension you may be looking at 25k plus on these.

I went for the Avon AS7 all season option... very pleased and they are noticable quieter and more grippy than the conti LX sports that I have had for years. They are also much cheaper than the michelins...
