His price - circa £1500.00!!
His advice - if i've swapped out the oil to stop it getting worse - live with it!

Try another specialist......just spoke to the guy's that did mine and £550 (new valve body).....I also asked about an additive, but he said if you've already done the flush it would be pointless.
Not a lot of help I know.....shop around....pity you ain't in Leicestershire.

That's an old thread.

Try to find a local (specialist Volvo) independent garage and ask them what they suggest.

Sorry, first stop is to identify your gearbox (and year and model of car C70 V70 etc etc).
(I suspect it is a 5 speed auto, they have more problems than the 4 speed autos).

There is an ID plate near the joint between the gearbox and the engine.

Then talk to the specialist.

There are various posts and youtube videos out there once you know what gearbox you have.
