Question Xc90 fuel issue

Bought a 2006 xc90, we knew it had leaking power steering pump when I bought it. Thought easy job, we can cope with that no prob. So bought car, engine sounded fine, anyway day after we bought it, started few times no problem, then wouldn’t start, stuck it on computer, says soot filter full and high pressure fuel pump not working, replaced high pressure fuel pump, all ok, next thing broke down, diesel everywhere, fuel filter housing leaking, ended up with new fuel filter housing, not cheap even second hand, changed one fuel line aswell as the end of the other one broke… put it back on computer regenerated soot filter, everything seemed fine, thought its finally sorted, Then drove it home, to discover, fuel filter housing leaking again, only thing computer saying is fuel pressure too high 🤷🏻*♀️, any ideas why this is happening,
The car is xc90 2006 2.4 D5

Fuel filter is before high pressure pump so even if pressure is unusually high this will not affect the filter.

I had issues with mine leaking which in the end was due to using non volvo part. Bought Volvo and has been dry ever since.

Good luck.
